E-tailers Creating jobs with changing trend in online buying

Jobs in online buying sector :

With the boom in online buying market,around 1.5 lakh new jobs are supposed to be created in the online marketing space within 2-3 years as increasingly number of companies trying to tap the Internet and the fast pace social media platform to enhance business-HR experts. Indian sub-continent is coming as a digital outsourcing hub for various services which include online marketing and advertising, social media platforms and website designing they said.

“With both businesses and consumers increasingly shifting their target to the digital medium, there will be around 1.5 lakh jobs available by 2015 end  in online buying sector,” as per V Sivaramakrishnan Manipal Global Education Services Executive President.Online Jobs

“Almost every single brand has started using digital marketing services and are struggling to get talent pool required to implement the same,” Trivone Digital CEO Subramanyam said. Showing similar sentiments, CareerBuilder M Director Premlesh Machama said there is a lack of skilled and experienced professionals in the field of digital marketing.

HR firm Randstad India CEO Moorthy Uppaluri said there has been a huge proliferation of technology that has changed the way companies engage with their clients and employees. “So, the focus of agencies towards entering new digital channels of online buying engagement is driving up the demand for digital (marketing) employees,” Uppaluri said.

To believe estimates, about 25,000 new career opportunities are likely in 2014 in digital marketing arena. The increasing demand is also driven by more use of the Internet and mobile handsets besides fast growing e-commerce market. Although, their is a gap in demand and supply for talent required for new jobs.

India is also set to become a potential centralized outsourcing hub for digital ad and marketing services, with many new entities taking up projects from clients spread across the United States,UK and Canada – MeraJob India CEO Pallav Sinha.

As per Unison International Managing Dirctor,Udit Mittal ,the requirement for more efficient and skilled professionals in digital marketing is rising at an exponential rate. Among the core business areas, online buying e-commerce is becoming a major recruiter for digital marketing professionals.

Lighthouse Partners Managing Partner Rajiv Burman said the digital space offers opportunities to professionals working in marketing departments of corporate as well as fresher level. Echoing similar views, Advaiya Solutions’ Founder and CEO Manish Godha said growth of digital marketing segment is very promising and would create many job opportunities.

“Other sectors for online marketing growth may have content creation and management,social marketing,analytics and video production search marketing” – Randstad India estimates, the initial starting salary is in the range of Rs 4-5 lakh per annum for digital marketing professionals .
